If you're with them, Al, can they really be lonely?? Kind of like, if a tree falls in a forest...well, you know...

Im in favor of a Weird Al Super Bowl half time it will certainly make forget and forgive the NFL for fixing every game against the Browns

Sylvia Maluleke

Here's a challenge: next time they ought to list various style parodies and contestants have to remember who was the original artist. (Could there be bonus points if they can also name the song or songs that were the style inspiration?)

Happy National Voter Registration Day!

Mike Rudberg

It says a lot about Al's appeal and neutrality that he has Republican fans even though he himself prrrooobably isn't voting Republican all that much.

Héloïse Hudgens

And remember- if you're already registered, be sure to CHECK to make sure you haven't been "purged" from the voter rolls by the Republican'ts trying to suppress your voting rights.

Do it NOW so you can get it fixed before Election Day!

Congrats Mr. Yankovic!!!! I’ve been a fan ever since I was a lil overweight kid and fell in love with “Fat”!! I even had the pleasure of seeing you in concert at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV a couple years ago.

Good morning, Mr. Yankovic,

Thank you so much for inviting us to witness such a momentous occasion. That meant everything to us, to be allowed to participate and be a part of all the festivities.

We were there, off to your left, behind all the cameras.

Congratulations, Sir, well done, well done, indeed!!

I love you, Al. I've been a fan since I was seven years old (way back in '81) and of all the artists who have ever inspired me you're the only one I consider my hero. Not just because of your music and sense of humor but because of how down to earth and kind you are. I'll never forget getting to meet you in 1994. You took my friend Joe Aglione and I and kept us on the Rocky Point roller coaster for 20 or 30 minutes. It was so memorable and i will never forget it. Hearing you tear up after thanking your wife and daughter was so wonderful. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you for daring to be stupid and inspiring me to as well.

Tomorrow morning at 11:30 I’m getting my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (6914 Hollywood Blvd, across the street from the Chinese Theatre). I’ll be speaking along with my pals Dr. Demento and Thomas Lennon. If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, come on out and help us celebrate!

Samantha Miller

I just saw a YouTube video of you with Weezer doing "Africa"....some guy in the comments said "Dude says "You can't shred with an accordian".. Weird Al says "Hold my milk"" I laughed my ass off. You go! You are awesome.

Isadora Silva

The segment was disappointing, not because of Mr. Yankovic, but because of Mr. Leno’s lack of attention to detail. The ‘66 Belvedere bore no resemblance to the ‘64. The Yankovic family vehicle probably had a 318 rather than 361 engine. The ‘66 didn’t have push button transmission. Even the radio looked different between the two model years. Never mind that the Yankovic family car was a sedan, not a station wagon. Leno may as well have brought a Chevrolet. Sorry, Jay, you dropped the ball on this one. Al, on the other hand, as always, was great. I wish I had snagged the Belvedere badge off our Plymouth as he had his.

Hunter Cross

Besides al yankovic, what is Lynwood known for? Why and what (except for yourself - which is cool) would I go to visit it?

It's finally happening...On Monday, Aug. 27 at 11:30 AM, I will be getting my very own star on the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME!The ceremony is absolutely FREE and open to the public. It will take place at 6914 Hollywood Blvd., directly across the street from the world-famous Chinese Theatre.Speakers will include Dr. Demento, Thomas Lennon, and ME!If you're so inclined, come on down and help us celebrate!!

To my genuine friend and source of inspiration, Weird Al Yankovic and his crew of misfits,

A very DESERVED congratulations to you and your crew!

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and talking with you at several shows and, each and every time, you have been such a class act...respectful and humble to the bitter end.

Your behavior has taught me to not let success go to my head. At the end of each day, we do what we do because we love it, not because we have to!

I’ve listened to your albums for decades and am so proud of all the accomplishments you have made! Your albums occupied the entirety of my musical catalog for quite some time! As a pop-culture fanatic, I always looked forward to your next album, no matter how abstruse it may have been!

I have had the honor and priveldge of getting to know Bermuda on a personal level during the course of a small side project. He must have taken a page from your book because he also exudes courtesy, professionalism and respect for the source material, which as a drummer and percussionist, has given me a newfound appreciation and respect for the dedication to the craft of rhythm. He currently holds the top space for how to cope with success in my eyes. Such a classy individual!

It has been my utmost pleasure having the opportunity and privilege to meet you and Bermuda. Thank you for your dedication to the art, craft, and sophistication of satire and parody. Congrats on finally being recognized for your dedication to pop culture and music parody!

Here’s to your continued success!

Lots of Love, Peace and Bacon Grease,

When I saw your show in San Luis Obispo, we got treated to two of my favorites: "You Make Me" and "Take Me Down." I doubt anyone unfamiliar with SLO would appreciate TMD, but I bought the big box set partly to have the CD that included it!

And now I've bought tickets for this show.

So there. If it sucks, it'll be bad in an oddly enjoyable way. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it and maybe comparing and contrasting with the full out shows.

Well "Al" if this is the case feel free to come to Walnut Valley festival in Winfield Kansas. Its in September. Its expensive, tons of tie dye and oh yes Bluegrass music. The most Importantly it rains every year. P.S. I almost forgot there is atleast 1 skunk that wanders into the bonfire causing the whole town to..... Yes You guessed it Smell like burnt Skunk for about a month. #WanutValley Festival. If You are a musician..... Who is a famous guitar maker from my town. There a little trivia for you to seek. Good luck everybody.

The tour starts in just a couple days!!ProTip: Promoters typically hold back a bunch of tickets for special guests, and then release them at the last minute if they don’t get used… so if the venue in your city is “sold out” – be sure to check again a few days before the show!

"Special guests"... Meaning brother from another mother wants to see little sister. K, i will check. But it took me telling my musician fiance emo's plastic surgery joke to admit to me Emo is funny. BE YE ADVISED: I will be announcing ALL THE DATES for my 2018 North American tour tomorrow morning, October 13 at 9:00 AM Pacific on

In case you haven’t heard the rumors… THIS WILL NOT BE OUR NORMAL KIND OF TOUR.I decided we should try something different, just for a change of pace.So next year we’re scaling way, way back.No costumes, no props, no video screens, no computer servers. We’re just going to walk out on stage, sit down on stools, and play a bunch of old songs.Oh, and we’re going to be performing almost exclusively originals (i.e. not parodies). The deep cuts and obscure tracks. The songs that were never hits. The ones you barely remember.

Okay, obviously this tour is not for everybody.By design, it has extremely limited appeal.Instead of doing festivals, fairs and arenas, we’ll be doing small, intimate theatres.Instead of putting on a big flashy production, we’ll be trying to go for something very informal and low-key… kind of an Unplugged/Storytellers vibe.Like we’re just hanging out, playing in your living room.So if you’ve really got your heart set on seeing fat suits and Segways and hearing all your favorite parodies… this probably isn’t the tour for you.Chances are we’ll be doing that kind of show again sometime in the future, just not THIS time.

It might sound like I’m trying to talk people into NOT buying tickets… Actually, I just want people to be very aware of the nature of this tour so that they can make an informed decision now and not be disappointed later.Having said that, I know that there’s a small but enthusiastic subset of fans that literally have been waiting decades for this kind of a show, so… this tour is for them. And me.And the band. After putting on “multimedia extravaganzas” for 35 years, we just wanted to take it down a few notches and have a little musical palate cleanser.

Because all my concerts in the past were so highly produced, they needed to be rigidly planned down to the SECOND, and therefore the shows were virtually identical from one city to the next. But since this tour is unencumbered by theatrics, we have a lot more flexibility. So… EVERY SINGLE SHOW WILL BE DIFFERENT.We’re going deep into the catalogue and mixing up the set list every night. This show will be loose, unpredictable, and maybe a little sloppy – we’ll be making it up as we go along.

Oh, one other cool thing… For the first time ever, I’m bringing an opening act with me on the road.I’m very pleased to announce that on every show of the 2018 Tour, I will be sharing the stage with my good friend, the legendary Mr. EMO PHILIPS.

If this isn’t your metaphorical cup of tea – hey, I get it, no worries, we’ll see you next time. But for everybody else – please check out the full list of tour dates tomorrow morning on!

Is it on in uk?

I'm pretty sure most "fans" actually DO know this stuff... still, a nicely-done video!

I'm old enough to remember actually seeing you in "Muppet Magazine". Been a fan for over 30 years. Thanks for being there for me to listen to when I got bullied mercilessly in grade school. No matter how down I was, your music always picked me up.

Thank you Al!!!

Good video, and yes, most of us probably did already know most of these. Clickbait title tho. Keep on keeping on, sir. I've been a fan of yours for most of my life (at least 30 years now)

I really loved UHF. My favorite memory as a kid was my older brother (God rest his soul) took me to see a sneak preview of this movie. We laughed and enjoyed every second of it.

These days, I feel like my brother is sitting with me every time I watch this film. I can still hear him laugh, too.

"Captain Underpants Theme" Official Lyric Video | CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE

Fun Fact: In Captain Underpants and the Tyrannical Retaliation of the Turbo Toilet 2000, Weird Al writes a song about the heroism of Melvin Sneedly.

Never thought I'd see the day he actually DID write a song about Captain Underpants itself, though!

You are doing the theme song?? ... Great. Now I am contractually obligated by my fandom of you to see this movie. Thanks a lot, AL!
(Can't wait to hear the song when I go see it.)

Great job Al! Dr Demento didn't realize what he unleashed when he invited you to his show! So glad he did!👍

Love, love, love Weird Al! Adam Sandler, not so much. How can you not worship the genius who gave us "The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota"? Which, I hate to brag, I've seen...twice! I've seen Weird Al in concert 4 times, and knew every word to every song. (Which, unfortunately, embarrassed the hell out of my niece)

made it through about 10 minutes of that movie before we shut it off....adams losing his touch. his voice characters are funny as SKITS...but when it's a whole movie it's annoying.

Forgive me, but this picture is like one of those "Goofus and Gallant" comics from Highlights magazine. "Gallant works hard to make relevant comedy that consistently delights old fans while attracting new fans every year. Goofus recycles poop jokes and yells."

"Weird Al" Yankovic - Medium Rarities

Oh. Hmph. I figured we'd be getting some of the really rare stuff, like Avocado and all the other songs that you can only hear from people recording them at concerts. I guess having studio recordings of all of Al's songs from cartoons is pretty nice, but it's really not enough to convince me to buy a box set that costs my average paycheck.

Disappointed. Never going to listen to the stuff from TV shows (Milo Murphy, 30 Rock etc.) other than Pac Man none of the rest is especially rare or necessary.

You also should have included the Conan O'Brien theme song that time you did lyrics for it, since you did the Comedy Bang Bang one. And what about the College Humor site where you were on the Titanic?

Running With Scissors! There is no joke or pun to be had here, as this comment serves the sole purpose of showing that I have been a fan long enough to remember an album other than his most recent one. Thank you for your time, fellow Weirdling.

How can you be having so much fun and keep a look on your face like you're bored and downright bemused? Because you're a fantastic actor, that's why!

scrambler+adult = NOT. Loved this ride as a kid, but as an adult, well lets just say it was a bad idea...LOL funny

Here's the cover of the rarities album that's part of my upcoming box set release!Track listing will be announced soon.Just a reminder: March 20 is the absolute last day to pre-order... there will be a small number available after the actual release date, but if you really want one, best to order now!

What if I just want it on digital? I've bought all your albums, in some cases multiple times in multiple formats. I listen to something from your catalog every day. I really can't justify spending another $300 to get another copy of music I already have. But I'd love to get the rarities, and other tracks that are not included in your studio releases. And here's the kicker -- I don't even want them for free. I want to buy them. Is there a way for me to do that?

PLEASE release the Medium Rarities as a separate album, too!

Steven Schimbke

I already went into a frenzy and bought up all your CD's a while back. Is there a chance that the demos/rarities CD will get a separate release?

You may have noticed there haven't been any new Milo Murphy's Law episodes in quite some time... that's because Disney XD has been saving them up, and will be airing a TON of new ones next month, starting March 6!Set those DVRs!

I'd never watched this until the other day. My kids were watching it and I could have sworn I heard Weird Al.
I was happy to be right. The show is pretty good too.

My kids recently found this on demand and have watched the episode multiple times, I glad they will have something fresh to watch soon.

I thought I was starting to lose my mind. I seen 5 episodes OnDemand (never home to actually watch it) and not another one. I was starting to think something happened with the contract.
