I’ve gotten tons of requests to share my weight loss tips with you guys, and while I am DEFINITELY not an expert, I have tried my best to connect with many of you individually and privately to encourage you and cheer you on, I wanted to share the most important tip publicly— while you’re working on your outside, work even harder on your inside. Trust me—It doesn’t matter what amazingness your outside shrinks or transforms to— if you don’t deal with the inward struggles you have NOW while on your weight loss journey, you’ll still struggle with them when you’re thinner— and they might be even worse. Addiction, depression, anxiety, fear, loneliness, anger, etc...Those don’t just magically disappear once you feel like you look better on the outside.BEING. SKINNY. WILL. NOT. MAKE. YOU. WHOLE. (Y’all hear me in the back row??!) Me?Insecurity. That son-of-a-beast has its claws dug deep in who I am still to this day. I can mask him most days, but every now and then, he pounces— and when he pounces, it’s not pretty.See, weight loss might change how you look, but it won’t change who you ARE. It’s an amazing thing to want to strive for overall health, but DO NOT discount the damage that an unhealthy heart can do to your life!YOU work on YOU!ALL. OF. YOU. Inside-out. Chances are that if you are unhappy with what you see in the mirror, you’re just unhappy. If you feel angry at your weight, maybe you need to deal with your anger first. Fearful?Work on that. Insecure?OH DEAR GOODNESS TRUST ME YOU NEED TO KICK THAT TO THE CURB PRONTO BECAUSE IT’LL ETERNALLY TORMENTYOUR SOULLLL. ...Ahem...sorry...You get what I’m saying.Seek FIRST His Kingdom, right?He cares about the state of your heart before anything else!THEN all these things....it’s much easier to battle your weight head on when you are fully content with what’s going on in your heart!
