Also noticed the references to a lot of DP-albums beginning with In Rock and the journey from then until today.

I have a serious question.
The vinyl has "Hell to Pay" and "Key Solo", why are they not on CD and if it's due to time limit of CD I appeal to you to release a single with those two as B-sides, "The Surprising" is a perfect fit.
It would be advisable to release the Now What Live Tapes Vil 2 on CD with bonus tracks Space Truckin' from Above and Beyond 7" single. Please. And maybe Out of Hand single on CD, be cause it has two instrumentals unavailable elsewhere. Otherwise the Gold edition is incomplete and pointless release.

Great song but Purple doesnt play it live on the tour. Intead we are subject to a line-up we've heard too many times. Play more new material!

They played it in France earlier in the year. Hopefully will be played in UK next week. Definitely need more new songs on the tour, less stuff from the 1970s. More stuff from Purpendicular and afterwards

Nigel Smart

Although four songs off Infinite plus Knocking at Back Door + Perfect Strangers in the Scandanavian gigs earlier this week. Would like to hear Ted the Mechanic or Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming once again though.

The Long Goodbye Tour continues...

November 8th: Trondheim – Spektrum (NO)
November 9th: Oslo – Spektrum (NO)
November 11th: Helsinki – Icehall (FI)
November 13th: Copenhagen – Valbyhallen (DK)

Very nice to see Deep Purple celebrate the whole catalog. Deep Purple is bigger than any member of the band - Past or present and everyone who played with the band deserves a nod. While I do think Purpendicular was a very strong album I would have really liked to hear Joe Satriani (in the style of his soloalbums) with Deep Purple for just one record!

The house of blue light. One of my favourites. I hope to see purple perform some songs from this album live. Back when it was recorded,It may not have been the best time in the band but it's a great album.

Fine, leave the seat for someone who will appreciate one of the best live bands around.....you can sit at home listening to the old stuff and moaning about Steve ( who is now a much better player than RB is........he is very average these days ). The past is gone and won't be coming back. Should we all simply not listen to the band any more because of a couple of lineup changes? By that logic, no one should go and see orchestras....they are, after all, cover bands doing material played originally by others.

Also Ian said when Ritchie left the dark clouds went away and the Sun came out for the band again, well that as maybe , without Ritchie Blackmore the Band would not exist today , he was the creative genius in the band without his songwriting prowess the band has stagnated, i do not want to go to a DP concert and watch Steve Morse covering other bands songs , this is why Satriani left as he knew his career would be dead if he had stayed in DP , sorry if my words hurt but you all know i speak truth.

What a heap of shite.
That's like not going into MacDonalds because the original guy that founded the company and flipped the first burger is no longer there...
Deep Purple are brilliant with or without Blackmore.

A great band - so happy I was able to see them in Indianapolis/Noblesville. Although I enjoyed Alice Cooper and Edgar Winter - I went to see Deep Purple. I went to say goodbye to one of my favorite bands and to see them one last time in concert! They are the best of the best!! Such talented musicians!

In life you will realize there is a role for everyone to meet. Some will test you, some will use you, some will love you, and some will teach you. But the ones who are truly important are the ones who bring out the best in you. They are the rare and amazing people who remind you why it's worth it.

Have not missed a US DEEP PURPLE Tour since '74, and doubled and tripled up on a few of them so have lost count of the shows. Was great to have and meet them at TODAY SHOW a couple of years ago. Thanks for beating the curfew and a great show in Camden last week!

Tune in to Eddie Trunks Town Hall. #siriusxm

WTF? Who is giving the finger to the fans? Band is playing on tour which is related to release of possibly the last great album of great band. What the hell are you talking about? They play and always played mixture of new stuff with classics and you will NEVER please everyone with setlist - it has no solution. For me - the dream would be concert with Mk Morse stuff ONLY! I really dont need to hear Highway Star or Smoke On The Water again - I´d love to hear stuff like Fingers To The Bone, Loosen My Strings, Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming - hidden forgotten jewels of band´s catalog. Frankly speaking I dont know ANY band whose so called greatest hits would be the best songs in catalog.... DP has so many jewels in catalog which are MUCH MUCH MUCH better than simple staightforward SOTW.... And because they know they cant please everyone, they do what they want to do, what they enjoy to perform. And as their fan, I´m completely ok with this attitude.

Hamburg was fantastic! Brilliant musicians, so much joy, passion and enthusiasm. From what I saw down there in the audience, you seemed to have a lot of fun on stage. Are you guys sure you want to call it a day? :) Thanks for an amazing concert! :)

Petr Čejka

They released new album in April therefore it´s logic they play new material (it´s tour dedicated to new album) and they had great success with previous album from 2013 tour too so they did 2 songs from that record.... other than that they played old stuff - maybe still to much old stuff for many fans - it would be great to hear more recent stuff, but I´m absolutely fine with set what they did. You are just incredible arrogant and ignorant annoying troll. Band can play whatever they want to play, it´s their show and they play what they enjoy to play.

Decision not to play only hits is decision of real artists. Playing and relying on hits only make show boring - I went to Purple show to hear new stuff, I had an opportunity to hear Highway Star so many times that I was glad they decided to drop it for some time. You cant please everyone with set.

Best work is a matter of opinion.
They do play a lot of hits, but they try to balance the set out between a few new songs, some lesser known songs and a few of their greatest hits.

Nick Scelsi

also shared about Deep Purple

Please add "Woman from Tokyo" and "Highway Star" to the setlist. I don't understand why you haven't been playing them. With the amount of money you're charging for tickets, you need to do ALL of your best stuff.

Jesper Petrusma

also shared about Deep Purple

As it is now they play Fireball, Strange Kind of Woman, Lazy, Perfect Strangers, Space Truckin', Hush, Black Night and Smoke on the water.
These songs are amongst their greatest hits.
So in my opinion enough material even for new fans to enjoy Nick.

But hey, it's Johnny's Band! Find out all about the rock phenomenon in the 13-minute documentary called "From Here To By There", but don't take it too seriously. ;)

The limited collector’s edition single for “Johnny’s Band” is going to be released on August 4th!

Why are they advertising an unenthusiastic review? I mean, I'm happy Die Toten Hosen are fans, but it's weird of a band to publicise a less than positive review.
